Soooo as alot of you know my block did not like 26 psi 30 degrees and beating the crap out of second and third gear with my gt35
SO heres what im going with.... As of sept. 10th lol
Was on the fence about CR. decided to go wiesco 8:5. a custom wiesco was gonna put me almost 150 dollars more for 8:1. If i have knock problems with the 8:5 it wont be a prob. Cause ill have 150 dollars towards a DSP sell the tach and neo get around 200 for it.
Ill need 3 bars as well.
So build looks like this.
eagle rods arp bolts
wiesco 8:5:1 pistons
Rage oil pump
big filter
moded pick up tube
bored .20 over
400-450 goal Getting crank balanced and piston matching to cylinder walls.
Im gonna see what the dealer ship price is on oem main and rod bearings. If they are alot im gonna go with clevite or king.
Reason i never went DSP is i know ALOt of people havin problems with big turbos and big fuel injectors, getting them to run right. Anyone know where i can get the dsp programmed for my set up still? Guess they callin these teh canned tunes? I can tune well my self, just need to dsp programmed for the stuff i have. O yea where to look for 3 bar map as well I dont even use tip, but i guess with dsp ill have to?

PTP when you fedex man gettin this block?
Canned tunes are where people are having the problems. Granted i'm not big turbo, but i'm on bigger injectors than what the DSP was made for (Rescaled) and I'm not having any issues. Trying to let someone halfway across the continent make a "Plug and play tune" never really captivated my attention. Dyno tune, Street Tune or GTFO.
Either way, looks like your build will be just fine with the selected hardware. I say you just go with the CP pistons.
BTW you were running all that boost on STOCK map/tip sensors?
i am actually probably going to sell my dsp and go f/ic just because i don't feel like driving a ton of hours away for a tune, when i can drive 2 and get an f/ic tuned at realtune.
cause they are 580 from modern. thats why. lol i can get some wiseco 8:5 for 420 shipped. Money for the fic. MOre info on this FIC PLEASE!!!
You can data log, can you run it on stock maps? Im asuming you can since it has clamping features. I would like to talk to someone that knows alot about the system?
yep 26. You can with neo, it hides boost, just like the FIC can do. Clamp your map at 18-19 psi so it never hits boost cut, Difference between fic and neo is you can retard timming while clamping with fic, neo you can only clamp, and you can turn your timming down, there for you run mid 20's to low 30s of timming. So if you dont have meth forget about it tryin to do this. W.o meth i was able to run like 17-18 psi before i started needing meth, started knockin around that psi.
on your build. I'm getting a used shortblock from a friend and am planning on doing a similar build. HP goal is about the same, maybe closer to 500 on race gas.
I'm on a SCT emailed tune right now since its my daily driver car. I'm casually shopping for a new DD, and once I get that I'm 80% sure I'll make the leap into AEM EMS. Although HPtuners is saying that they'll have screenshots of Dodge tuning in the next week or so...not holding my breath there. I may take a glance at my friends SCT PRP software to see if its crazy complicated.
good luck with the build.

So ill be able to build if i can find a way to get a loan, I ran into a snag. They said i was accepted for a 1000 dollar loan, than i get there they said i wasent??? make sence no, but its pure BS now i dont know if ill be able to get the money to build, I leave this winter for USAF and i kinda need a CAR. Soo i may have to go stock route for now that would SUCK ASS!!! Anyone on here LOADED by chance could use a small loan. Be able to pay you asap when i get my 15k check when i join up And you ask your self why not just use that money?!?!? I would, if i could get that money NOW but i have to get back from basic before i get the money. This whole thing blows, my life sucks.
