is there a huge differance between the two like there is with cams? i know modernperformance sells crower rods for 700 something and tk motor sells brian crower rods for 400 something.
most if not all of it is going to come down to your goals and what you wanna spend... I ran Eagles in my Evo and made 540 awhp thats around 700 crank with 25% drivetrain loss and I've been told it's more than that, ran the car for about 12k miles... Never had one issue until I sold it and as far as I know its still running... I have BC's now for the SRT, so its all what you want to spend or what brand you like
you'll be fine with the brian crowers on the stage 3 man, my crowers are rated at 1500hp

Pauter or the Crower's from Modern are what will do the job for what I'm planning.
I have Eagles in my engine now, and something went wrong with them. I can't speculate as to whats wrong with it til I take it apart. But there's a noticeable knock in the engine at 2500-3500rpms under the HG. #1-2 area.

haha good to see your still alive after lastnight
but...
i want my bottom end to handle 500hp+ iv only seen modernperformance sell the crower and they go for $700. every where else sells the brian crowers for about $400-$500. what are the bc rated for? i wont go with eagls so i dont care about them. i dont wanna spend $700 on crower rods when i can get bc rods that could be just as good for $400, i just dont wanna make the mistake and have to redo it later on.
also what bearing would be good to use stock mopars?
brian crowers i think are good for 500whp, and dcr has bearings if you want some upgraded ones. i think there just coated or somehting, but there better then stock.
They (bc) both use a 3/8's Rod Bolt. Period. BC does not make a 7/16's rod bolt, and they wont custom make one (i have called) ....Crower runs a 7/16's rod bolt size. Thats BIG! They are the best, hands down. Theres a reason there nearly double.
Any way you slice it even the upgraded BC's still use a 3/8's....to me it doesnt matter how much stronger it is, its still a 3/8's....But then again im not a engine builder.
Good luck, if you can spare it i would go with the Crowers, TKMS has them for 744 or 830 shipped, i think. You can pm him, I guarentee his price is as LOW as they can be sold. GL.

ryan - if you are going to get the bottom end rebuild, i'd get an engine rebuilder at least balance the rotating crank and assemble it. that way you d know it's balanced fromt he get go.
