Default big turbo - thermostat

any cons in just taking out my thermostat on my big turbo srt-4? I hear alot about people losing gas mileage n shit but im piggyback tuned at 22psi on a 50trim.

Im having problems keeping my car cool in the staging lanes at the track with my heater on to keep my fans moving. I know the thermostat doesnt really do much keeping it cooler at idle but when im coming around the backstretch after a hard run it takes quite a while for my car to cool back down to a decent temp.

my coolant is at a good level and i just have reoccuring problems with temps so i figured i would just take my thermostat out. where im at in texas i dont really need to worry about the cool temp days and by the time winter actually gets here, my car will be put up for the season anyways

help please

kevin
