Default Best turbo for 500whp pump

I've been told this is a hard task and numbers aren't entirely important to me, but my overall goal is to have a low 11 sec street machine (not daily driven). I'm currently in the works of trying to get a fully built motor put together and the only part i'm not sure of is the turbo... I currently have a dbb 50trim 63ar agp turbo but from my talk with realtune, dcr, and forward motion they've all stated 500whp 50trim on pump is much more than a difficult task and plenty of new turbos are available eq. (extended clip, billet wheel,etc)... turbos on my mind <s256rs,delta60,precsion6057 please let me know what yah guys think!

I'm gonna try for 500 pump with the 35r, but that may be a bit much and too laggy for most.

I would pay special attenion to the turbine flow of your choice if you plan on a pump gasser

its a goal to be hit easy with a great tune. 450 whp and 500tq is a more achievable goal to shoot for. after that than retune...

Regardless if it will do it or not, still far from a good recommendation if you ask me. Technology has came a long ways.

with a big enough turbo to make 500 I would think the TQ would be much lower than the HP (kinda the reverse of what you got)

yeah I agree.

450whp 500wtq looks like a maxxed out race gas 44lb wheel numbers not 60lb+wheel on pump gas.

I say 6062 or hta35r for 500 on pump.

6057 should be able to do the job but idk bout straight pump. I'd think it might needa splash of race gas or some methonal injection.

explain please, from what I know the PTE turbos are very nice and built well but if your saying they anr more technoligicly advanced then honeywell (remember they build jet engines too)

the billet wheels are nice but sometime I believe they become over hyped (like everything new to the performance market)

not trying to say your wrong and I respect where your comeing from but sometimes people get blinded by their convictions

the PTE turbos have done GREAT so far and are up to and beyond par but to think that every new thing in the performance market is a magic god sent is just crazy. tomarrow there will be another gimick everyone will drool over but there will still be a guy with an old T series on the track running the same times

perspective

I in no way said Precision is better than Garrett or anyone else, I simply said the t3 gt40 is old technology and far from a good choice among today's options. There's so many turbos out now that spool better and will make more power. Call it hype all you want, I call it fact.

yea, a gt40 is a bad match for the srt (big mofo turbine)

but that dosnt mean bad just not right for the application
