Well everything will fit with the stock intercooler but it would be beneifical to you power wise to upgrade to a larger intercooler. The stock intercooler will be restricting power on a bigger turbo. And when i installed my delta 40 kit i used an open ended wrench and my small rachet to get the stock manifold off.
The exhaust mani is pretty simple to remove.... the lower heat shield and o2 housing was the hardest part. Post your questions in here as you go and I will try to help most I can.... I installed mine myself just take your time and don't rush it.

did you finally get yur D44 put on??
if the AGP allow me to, i'm hoping to get in last min on that group buy for my D44. . . only way i'm gonna afford it. if they did another one next quarter, i'de be able to get the DBB D44, that would be awsome!!
cutting it could end up being a waste of time.... you will find halfway though that you cant get to all of it off. If I remember right there is a support bracket from block to exhaust manifold unbolt that throw it away, and I believe you can take off the manifold with the lower heatshield still attached...? Dont worry once your stock shit is off it gets alot easier, your doing the hardest part right now.
I could maybe be more help overthe phone if you like you could call and I will try to help.. 832-374-1742 name is sonny

yea that might sound good...i mean i work on cars alot, but i know this lower heat shield will be a bitch...there is just no room in there to even get vise grips on the bolts.i might just have to cut the heads off the bolts with a dremel of some sort..also should i maybe heat wrap the o2 housing?..would it help at all with the heat?
