Where are you guys getting these dbb 50 trims? AGPs is a single bearing, I think it is a ceramic bearing but single none the less.

Probably because that is what it was reffered to as by people at AGP. I thought the ceramic ball bearing was a new offering and when I bought my 50T almost 2 years ago it was called the dbb by everyone.

They call it ball bearing, not dual. They used to sell a dual garret bb turbo 50 trim a couple years ago.

That is probably where the misconception came from.

^^^^ Those are almost identical to the numbers I made on 91 octane without meth and only 17psi boost...hopefully that guy's boost is somewhat close otherwise I'd be a little unhappy about those numbers!

On a side note...I really don't want to search through a million pages of setups...has anyone on here gone from a 50t .63a/r to the .48a/r with results? I was very unhappy with my .63a/r 57 trim, I'm now stepping down to a .48a/r 50 trim. Hoping the lag is a lot better because my auto trans HATED first gear boost. On the track I went from 2.0 60' times with the stocker to 2.5-2.6 60 times on the big turbo. And yes, that was without spinning the tires incase anyone wanted to know lol. I have slicks, with a good launch I'd like to be able to get my half a second back lol

Wow, I make more than that with my E1 turbo. If I had a 50 trim, I would be very disappointed with those numbers. I mean it is good power, still, but definitely not what I would expect from a 50 trim turbo. I would expect at least about 80-100 more hp. I like the sig though.

Something has to be up with the car, either on low boost or a bad tune or something. I thought 50 T's are suppose to make 400 easily. Speaking of that, how much work will it take to get to 450 whp, will this get me there or close:

New Stage 4 w/Returnline .63 DBB
Race FMIC
DTEC/SCT Tune
Good Clutch

Also I know what the .48 and .63 A/R's mean but what does the stages have to do with the turbo setup on AGP's site.

24PSI! Note my siganture. I'm not happy at all with those numbers or the SCT Flash. That's my numbers after about 50 hours on the dyno as well! I think Nemiro will have me in the right direction here shortly though.
FWIW I made 269/348 on the stock turbo.

It was a joke but yes those are my real numbers on 24PSI.

Hopefully you get if figured out. Cars with the SCT Flash seem to be a little hit or miss from what I've seen so far. How does the car feel compared to the stock turbo? What kinda timing were you seeing?

There must be a serious issue with that flash map. 50 hours on a dyno must have been been quite a bill. It is like $100 per hour around here.

Yeah, I can definitely see why you would be pissed. Sorry to hear about it man. When you get it worked out let us know what was wrong. Good luck

Well after reading off of AGP's site, I see that you guys are correct but so many people call it a DBB Turbo.

I wanna run 400-425's on pump b4 i even put race gas in it. If the BB 50T will make that happen then that's what I want. Hopefully the stage 4 is all I need.
