Finally got the car tuned today to 21 psi. Pulls like a freight train. Should have dyno soon.

What are you tuned with? If you have a piggyback (safc, dtec) then yes it is common.

Well I just got my car back from a local guy that ports and polishes. Had my intake port matched to the head and matched to the TB. All I have got to say is night and day difference. It helped spool, pulls all the way through the rpm band hard as hell. Well worth the money. I will post some pictures of this guys porting when he sends me them.

i've got a FBM race intake combo sitting on my spare room floor since my car is down waiting for parts.

in short, my friend and i broke my intermediate shaft backet (the one that is attached to the shaft), and the cooler for the oil filter.

i'm waiting on my PTP big filter kit and the new intermediate shaft from S&P

on a lighter note, i'll be installing a NDE TCS when the new harness arrives

I installed my ported intake manifold, tb, and spacer this weekend but had nothing but problems. My car first had issues witht he RPMs hanging when coming to a stop. Then while crusing it would just start bucking and backfiring. Sometimes it would almost stall at idle. The gas pedal had a dead spot in the beginning of its travel and it was noticeably stiffer to depress. After checking that the TPS was fine and boost leak testing to make sure there were no leaks I put my stock TB on and all the problems went away. So there is something wrong with the ported TB that I need to get fixed this week.

Having the NDE TCS is nice. I still get wheelspin, but it's so much better before. Hopefully I can get this TB problem figured out so I can take the car to the track on May 2nd to see how it runs with the TCS and AGP flash.

Call and talk to Kevin at AGP. I noticed the hanging up at like 1700 rpm when coming to a stop and then it would settle back down. I will be calling him on Monday to see what I need to change the ported intake. I reach full spool (cruising in 3rd at 3000 rpm and stomping it) at just under 3600 rpm (21psi). Car runs real strong.

Well I only had the hanging RPM happen when I had the ported TB on the car and now that it is off again the car runs fine. I never had a problem with the AGP flash. I only got to make one pull with the car when having all the ported stuff on and I noticed that I hit full boost(24 psi) @ 3200 rpm in 4th. I hope it will shorten the spool time a little in 3rd because before I wasnt seeing full boost until 3600-3800 rpm before. I wont have a chance to work on the car until this Friday at the earliest.

What TB did you get? Sounds like the plate leaks.
