I tried to find some place local too. No one carries the same 4-ply silicone hoses around here... I considered looking at an industrial rubber or hose company for something, but even then, they did not have what I needed. You can get black silicone couplers for plumbing, but I was not sure about it's strength, heat resistance, etc. So, I waited until mine got here from AGP. I had them 2-day ship it... Good luck.

put a screen over the turbo until you get the intake.

You panicked. You could have just put screen on the thing and put pantihose or something. its not going to kill the engine. for a few days without the filter. I sometimes run no filter at the track.
Oh well you already spent the money....

Well I did the fuel pump and intercooler tues - went very easy and quick, then took the afternoon off. Wed- well that was a day from hell, It took me all damn day to get everything off the car that needed to come off. After that I was beat and felt like I had been hit by a truck, out cold by 7pm and slept all night. Woke up this morning and was a little sore but to my surprise not too bad. Today went ok everything went in with ease a couple little snags here and there nothing too bad. I will finish with my DTEC FC/BC and 750's on saturday.

I have a question if someone can help me out. I just got a 3147 kit. I am going to be running it with my stage II kit, pcm and 682 cc injectors, for a little while until my dtec and 750's come in...one, will I need a map clamp and 2 anyone know what kind of numbers I can expect off that set up?? I am looking to run about 20psi everyday driving and 24 or 25 at the track? Any ideas???

I'm seeing a/f around 11.5 at WOT boosting ~19 psi using my S2 PCM, injectors, etc. I'm not an expert, but I would imagine if you try to go above that, your a/f's may get scary and the PCM will pull timing.

Smile How much timing do you pull?

I just installed my AGP 3147 Kit , dtec, walbro fuel pump, and the RC injectors. and i have a stg 1 ECU. And just boosting with the wastegate and no boost controller. How much timing KR are you all pulling? I removed all vac lines except the white TIP sensor one. I was just trying to get an idea if im in the ball park.... all in all this turbo kicks ass!!

S2 start to pull timing above 17-18psi. knock or not. using a dtec or safc or map clamp will not only help you tune the vehicle but also trick the computer "via map sensor" to see no more then 18 psi. you compensate by adding more fuel at the regulator if you have a return system.

This is how I tune my car.

For those looking for the stumbles fix on big turbo and returnline, The only fix we seem to have been able to find is running no boost reference to the fuel pressure regulator. This is the only fix for a street set up. If you are going to the track and going past 22-24 psi then run the boost reference and tune a file for the track with the reference on.

I have have tried fixing the stumbles with the reference to the FPR but the car seems to be too smart and knows when there is a major fluctuation of fuel pressure in at the rail. The ECU was designed for constant pressure, I believe even the bolt on S3 has a small hickup just like the big turbo stumbles, But they are running a static 58psi and boost reference till 75psi, so it is not as noticeble.

So here is how Ive been trying to tune mine. I have mine for 22psi of BOOST. Now I have a stage 2 that I need to clamp via my SAFC since it will cut timing if it ever sees past 18-19 psi, so I set my corrections past -20%. S0,S1 dont need to be so aggressive on the corrections on the SAFC, I would start with -10%. Then I cranked up the static "non boost reference" fuel pressure to 75psi. Believe it or not the car can find stoich with this much with my 750cc injectors. I only did this to be on the safe side for the first run, the S1 and S0
cars should crank it down to maybe 60 for the first run. Then see what the base looks like on the wideband datalog. For me at 75psi Fuel I am still below 10:1 afr near redline. I made a nice flat line for AFR but I am still in the 10 so now I am turning down the pressure until I get to 11:8 afr or 11:2 to be on the safe side. I hope it was not confusing.

i understand, but im new to the dtec.. right now i am running stock fuel pressure. my idle a/f is from 14.3-15.3.but when i go WOT would the ecu be seeing higher boost from the tip sensor? maybe i should try the tip bleed mod. what do you think?
