Folks,

Unrelated to recent topics, I gotta say that this f'n turbo is awesome. I can't wait to get it dyno'd in the spring (I want similar temperatures to compare to..).

I was having a couple issues with being thrown into open loop as I am letting the S2 PCM control fuel. I hooked up the red vac line again (to a boost line) and the car is running so nice, I can't wait to drive it...

Awesome kit, AGP!!!

Agreed, the torque curve of theis thing is very nice and more useful then bigger turbos. Still cannont get traction in 3rd.

For real, Yesterday was the first day I started to figure out boost by gear on the Dtec and I am in the process of tuning each gear and man I set it at 20PSI for 3rd just to start out and I tell ya what, when I went WOT HOLY F I think my heart was going to jump out of my chest! I was on my way to work so that was it but when I arrived everyone was looking at me funny due to the ear to ear grin I had all day!! I can't wait till I get my next day off and can tune this thing in.

Do any of you guys have the Aeroforce scan gage? I just got one and was playing around the other day with the "calculated hp" reading. This calculation is based on hp at the crank. I was in 3rd gear running WOT @ 19 psi and I saw 401 hp on the display. The guys at Aeroforce said it is pretty accurate as long as you don't have a piggyback. I guess that would be about right if you assume the higher end of the 12-15% drivetrain loss.

I was pretty happy though when I saw that number. Anyone else have any experience with this type of measurement as compared to the dyno? When the dyno does the calculation for drivetrain loss, what % do they use?

So I just got one for these kits and I am in the process of installing it. Can somebody idiot proof a electronic boost controller install. I need to know where to run all of the lines. I have the Greddy type S. I looked on the how to forum I just need it a little more simple. I am pretty sure the controller itself runs to the TB but not 100% on that. The rest is a bit of a blur for me. I know its a stupid question I just dont want to do it the wrong way!

running 22psi pump gas on the street. 750's no return line I am pulling 21% on hi trims across the board with safc and hitting 11.5 afr. the 3147 is a great turbo only thing that is weird is I am not seeing 22lbs until 3700rpm and I already did boost leak test and have none. car still pulls like raped ape all the way to redline anyone else having slow spool problems?

I have noticed the same thing...but this thing does pull like crazy all the way to redline.

What did you go with to upgrade your compression and what affect did it do on the spool time? (what RPM do you get full boost at?)

i built the bottom end since my rc injectors went out on me. now i run8.8.1 compression and the turbo spools faster (around 3.3k full boost).
