Default Sprinkler water + CF hood = no good, HELP!

So even though my sprinklers go off all the time, this morning it must have went directly on my hood and 12hours later I look at the hood and there are white spots. I tried cleaning with soap/water and no luck.

When its wet you cant see it at all but they come out when it dries. Any ideas?

Thanks

this is just a thought, it kinda sounds like calcium build up, you could try some calcium remover of some sort, but i also dont know what effect that could have on the hood, just throwing some ideas out there..

Sounds like hard water deposits to me. What kind of finish does your CF hood have (clear or no)?

Get a claybar kit from the auto parts store and claybar the hood. That will take them right off.

Did you put a good bit of elbow grease into it? Friend had the same thing happen to his car after he drove through a muddy driveway and then washed the car...where the mud was laying there were still white spots...mothers claybar kit took them right out but he had to work at it a bit.

ill give another shot. Question on claybaring. When its silky smooth, is that bad? I mean I need some friction to get the shit off, right? I found that TOO smooth meant it was too lubricated and not doing anything. Obviously not enough is worse but just wondering..
