Um, no... You don't remove the spark plug wires, you keep them in to keep the water from going into where the spark plugs are. If they're seated properly, they will not allow water to get in.

i use that self etching mag cleaner on the wheels of my 85 power ram that stuff works wonders but u gotta be careful cause its acid based. ive used purple power in my engine bay and go to walmart and get one of them dish brushed that have and inch by inch head on em and then a stiffer little part on the back that works really well on ur intake manifold. i was wondering about useing the mag cleaner on the intake ill have to try it out.

Its not a problem! I use 1 can of cittris gunk blow it down with air wand then get a can of CD2 engine detailer spray the whole thing real good let it set over night then pop the hood youll be amazed how well it soak in and protects wires and hoses makes the tranny and engine shine
