Default salvage yard paint-pen removal ?

I got a replacement door for my car , from a salvage yard . Unfortunately , they used some sort of paint pen to write a code# on it .
What can I use to get it off without damaging paint ? It seems pretty resistant to water & mild cleaners . Does anybody have any clues ?

I find using the goop hand cleaner, is very helpful in removing stuff, not just from your hands. I've used it on clothes, carpet, and even an indestructable wing once.......

Mr Clean's Magic Eraser FTW !!!
Took a while , and dulled the clear-coat a little . But a little polish cream fixed that .
Thanks Fast420A !
