take it to a detailer. They have access to a lot of professional grade meguire's products that can usually remove it. While you can order them online, you're going to want a pro to look at it and determine the right product to use. If you go too light of an abrasive, it won't work. If you go too heavy, then your problem is even worse than you started with.
The over the counter consumer crap is just that (crap) if you ask me.
if that's not the answer you want, then I would first wash, de-wax and dry the car, then clay the spot, then try a cleaner wax. if that didn't work, try a scratch remover, if that won't work, try a polishing compound, if that won't work, try a rubbing compound. If that won't work, then you need some fairly abrasive stuff that's not going to be sold in a typical auto parts store.
