purple power on engine, now looks like crap, intake looks corroded
i just cleaned my engine with purple power, because it was dirty as hell. now after i cleaned it off, it looks worst almost, like hardwater stains, and my aem intake looked corroded-ish, and wont wipe off. any ideas?

Purple power and simple green, probably other cleaners as well, will do that to bare metal/polished stuff.
You can try some mothers polish on the intake.
k thanks, should i use something on the engine after purple power to make it look new? cuz it seemed to just take some gunk off, but it dont really look that much better
use eagle one etching mag cleaner for the intake mani with a wire brush and keep rinsing and repeating until you're satisfied. , you can use it on the valve cover also but don't use a wire brush for the valve cover, use a green/yellow pad or something. You can also use it for the tranny, stock upper motor mount, tb.

Also wear gloves when using this product, it's pretty damn strong and works great. My intake mani looks better than new, some people thought I had it powdercoated lol. Invest in some small wire brushes, maybe the brass type.

will do! you by chance know a easy way to make the stock ic look nice and shiny? im getting a bigfmic soon, but until then i wanna nice clean looking ic
