about 3-4 thousand dollars, needs to be wet sanded and buffed to get the peel out..........
it will varry alot pending on the shop that you go to, what color you want (red and black are the most expensive due to the pigments) and if you want any type of design which would require waiting longer for paint to cure to mask off for graphics. typically at wyotech we charge around $180 or so for sherwin williams paint and supplies to paint a car.
and we are taught that the factory paint jobs are not all that great, there are many variences in the color from car to car, and take a look at how much orange peel is in your paint job sometime..there is always orange peel in a factory paint job, if you want it can be taken out or sanded down just a little bit so that there is a little orange peel left when the car is buffed
the WET sanding is not so to remove the ORANGE PEEL but the other stuff like DIRT PARTICLES. no enviroment is DUST FREE, so these things are REMOVED from the finish by COLOR SANDING with 1500 to 2000 grit paper. this sanding LEVELS the orange peel plus imperfections in the sprayed finish. an average GOOD paint is between 3 and 4 thousand bucks, provided the same color. a color change is prolly another 750 to a grand for the jambs. but you do wet sand to remove orange peel, no matter who is painting, and the paint gun, you are alwyas gona get orange peel in every paint job, and the good high quality paint jobs are wet sanded to remove the orange peel, yes you do remove dirt and other imperfectons during the same process, sometimes you are able to remove dirt w/o wet sanding and by just using a wool pad on a buffer.
Yeah and everything really just varies depending who you take it to like some people will never go above 2000 grit but me and my shop we finish it up with 4k grit and then some good old fine buffing but quality paint jobs are definitely not cheap so just do some research before you take it to someone see some prior paint jobs and talk to prior customers.

speak for yourself. have you ever seen my work? no.
How would they paint the front portion, its like thin plastic. Can you buy a new front area from the factory or something, just a thought because on most peoples cars the thin paint makes it look like a warzone after a while.

They would sand it down and prime/seal it and paint like any other body part and yes you can buy a new front bumper.
