Default Pen on my ceiling and brake dust

Today I got into my car with a ballpoint pen in my hand, I forgot it was clicked open and it hit my ceiling, the line is about 1.5". How can I get this off without smearing it all over?

Also Ive been having a problem with alot of brake dust on my rims, can I buy any type of spray or something that might help keep it off?

-Chuck

Just thinking out loud here.... but what about one of those tide pens?? do you think it would discolor the ceiling??? I dunno... just a thought. Also for the rims, I use armor all wheel cleaner with teflon, and it takes everything off. Once you use it 1 time, it seems like the dust and dirt comes off really easily on the next few washes... i dunno if its the teflon or what. I usually do that once or twice a month. Rims look new.

Rubbing alcohol works very well on clothing to remove ink. I've never tried it on a head liner so experiment on an inconspicuous area first.

Thanks, I think I'll try the rubbing alcohol first, the clorox pen seems like risky biz. I'm gonna ask my dad once he gets back in town too, he used to own a detail shop and he likes helping me get my car nice and shiny , so maybe he can help out with that.

spray some hairspray on a rag and gently dab the ceiling. learned that in school when i got pen on my jeans. it worked. and if that doesnt work spray brake cleaner on a rag brake clean has same chemicals that they use in dry cleaning.

The reason hairspray works so well is due to the alcohol in it. If you use alcohol only you will avoid all the glue like shit in the hairspray, which will attract dirt and create another kind of stain.

PS- To the OP: Please post your methods and results.
