Yeah, you don't want to wash your car using the brush on your paint. Who knows what's trapped in between the bristles and brushing it against your paint is not good.
Are you in the practice of using a community tooth brush on your teeth?
Dont know where it's been....right?
Then why would you use a community brush on your beloved SRT?
Personally, I got a multi strand microfiber mit that I only use on the srt and doesn't even come close to my other two cars. I suggest you do the same even if you are a fan of the quarter car wash.
Only uses car washes that are soft-cloth or touch less. brushes ftl
You shouldn't even use those. The "soft cloth" is anything but soft and they still trap all kinds of crap from the previous vehicles. And the touch less things use a heavy chemical solution in the initial wash that will strip your wax right off. The second go-round in those things neutralizes the first chemical wash by the way. And whatever foam wax they might apply is a joke.
I realize not everyone has a driveway to hand wash their cars, but you're much better off going to a coin operated wash at night when it's empty and using a good wash mit to clean your car.
Where are you getting this from? Sure, wool polishing pads are among the most aggressive polishing pads available, but a 100% natural lambswool wash mitt is one of the best wash mitts you can use. In fact, it's all I use on my own cars and the best detailers I know (guys who make a very good living charging $500 - $1000 to polish exotics and concours winning show cars) use nothing but lambswool wash mitts.
