Default Is Gray Window Trim pissing you off??>

As you all know our trim on our windows is crap and when I bought my Eblue it already had gray ass trim. I tried a bunch of things like back to black and they were all temporary, barely lasted a week. So I read a thread about using the Magic Eraser and that sh@# actually worked. I did it a few months ago and used a damn brillo pad that you scrub dishes with at the same time and it made my trim actually look black. I dont recommend using the brillo pad or if you do be very careful that you dont scratch your paint by the trim. I managed to barely scratch the paint so Im happy with the results. Now my tint looks 10 times better and I dont feel so embarassed. Im thinking of using the Magic Eraser every couple months just to keep it looking good.

If you have a buffer handy, you can use that. Just use low speeds and a very light compound.

Edit: This is for the painted B pillars. Do not buff on the rubber trim below the window.

What causes the trim to do this? Mine is still black as black can be. Also are you talking about the rubber trim around the whole window or the bottom seal, or the painted B pillars?

Mr. Clean's magic eraser does wonders. I use it on my sneakers. Gotta keep my Jordan's fresh to death. I'll have to try this eraser on my trim this weekend.

green scratch pad that you use for dishes + orange pumus hand cleaner + elbow grease = black window trim...and that goes for the window trim above and below the window...

the citrus helps remove any film/wax on the black.

my trim looks as good as any rubber/plastic trim can look after 4yrs of 100+ degree summers.
