I just got a gift set of this stuff for my b-day, and before i try it out on my paint, i wanted to know if it's ok? just don't want to screw up my paint over time with the chemicles. thanks
well thats the thing, if you look the product up, it is a spray on wash and wax, it say to hose off dirt then spray this stuff on and buff it. Im just concerned that the chemicles used to remove the dirt maybee bad for the paint. this stuff is a trip.
That's some cool stuff. I'v seen it around, but I always wondered the same as you. I'm extremely picky about any type of chemical like that that I'll let touch my car. I considered getting a can of it for my rims. A friend from work used it on his windows and it worked great in that application.
Good to know, thanks for all the help guys. btw it's not that the dirt is any better on my car, it's just that if the stuff dosn't disolve it, im gunna have some ugly swirl marks
I have seen some discussions about this on detailing forums, and it does not get good reviews. I have not used it, but would test it on some other car first before using it on something I valued. Maybe test it on a CD first.
It would need to suspend the dirt above the surface, and then be removed without dragging it back across the paint, otherwise you will have swirls and marring.
It sounds like a number of people have been approached at gas stations by people who try to sell this stuff...kind of strange!
I see a lot of people that swear by Optimum No-Rinse, but I have not tried that either.
it is good does not damage anything i use to used it back in puerto rico in my brothers bike everytime i was going to run it i waxed it with fw1 and the paint was black and a lot of chrome and never nothing happened and use to used it in my motorcycles to and on my moms car and never had a problem but es i washed with soap first....
Is this stuff made by a petroleum company? I believe I read it on the small print of the can. The FW1 label also reads "Racing Formula". Anyhow, I tried some and it reminded me of WD-40. Just stick to a quick detailer spray.
