Try wet sanding the primer with fine sandpaper and then giving it another coat

your spraying way to close. do a few even coats from far away then a really really really really light wet sand to take away the texture. i just did my hood not to long ago and was a whole trial and error process

Multiple light coats better than 1 or 2 heavy .

IMO , dont use a primer as your final coat . I actually think FLAT black looks like crap after a couple weeks/months . Try going with a satin final coat instead . it will withstand stains , prints , water , weather , & age , MUCH better then a porous flat surface . That , and it looks like you didnt just primer the damn thing .

Post up pics when finished !!!!!
