I didn't have any luck with cleaner wax, Scratch-X or Speed Glaze w/ Dual Action polisher. I think it's just sun faded and something you have to deal with. Good luck though

Fixed. Sorry, was driving me crazy.

Your going to have to deal with it or get a new trunk lid.

Hey RaiedZ,

I would start out by with a Clay Bar application to the area. Then a Polish and a wax. If that does not completely remove the faded area it will be a start to making it look better than it does.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Default Try this out

There is one simple way! I have vinyl stripes on my srt and i've taken them off and put them back on three times. I've also taken my badges off several times as well.

Step one: Remove it all very gently stickers, emblems, etc.
Step 2: remove all the glue residue with some old skool mineral spirits! and a heat gun works miracles (typical hair dryer is ok but you can find one made for painting that will get you more heat quicker just don't get to close to your paint with it for for than a few seconds)
Step 3: reapply a compound or liquid wax gently in a circular motion to blend anything you my have removed with the mineral spirits.
Step 4: repeat until it's to your liking. Mineral spirits will remove everthing it touches use care and don't let it drip to much, make sure you reapply a wax of some sort to the area. i prefer meguiars liquid gold and liguid detailer whick aren't the cheapest. but i suppose something of equal quality will do just fine.

Don't be afraid to use alot of the mineral spirits, you want to keep your cloth wet with it, do not try and scrub your paint with the rag as it is drying you'll just get a big mess ,spider webs, swirls, and a huge PITA depending on how much glue is there left behind. Now since you removed the SRT emblem ages ago you may need a good clay bar treatment on that particular area before you buff it. BTW a electric buffer would be great for you if you have any experience using it. If you have none make sure you practice on something you don't care about like a dumb neighbors fender haha. Let the buffer work for you rather than you workin the buffer. Just take your time with it maybe going over it a few times have some patience and i could give you my word about it looking as good as day 1. Hope This helps! take it sleezy cuz!
