Default dryed wax on black moldings.

long story short, before i bought my car it was detailed by a 'profesional' shop.. they waxxed it... EVERYWHERE!! like ALL of the black trim is white... ive tried soap and water... scrubbing hard.. no luck.. the wax is covering every surface of black plastic including backs of mirrors.... are their any tricks of the trade to remove this crap without harming the rubber/plastic/paint???? thanks in advance!!!! (im doing it myself)

what he said. i had the same problem when i waxed my car and got some on the black plastic pieces. I used the Back to Black and it worked awesome. I also used some on the weather stripping on the doors that was beginning to fade. Works Great

Toothbrush and Simple Green, only way too remove it completley so it doesn't come back after you wash the car. Just don't let it run down the paint.

ok, the mothers back to black, does that just mask the wax?? or completly remove it??? if that is what i think it is and i may be wrong.... tire black would do the same effect. correct me., simple green, would work.. but to large margin of error. magic eraser intrigues me.. i can see it taking the wax off... but what does it leave the surface looking like? im doing this tomorrow morning.. being i have a magic eraser il prolly try it first... but i know the ME likes to leave behind a white film itsself... so it may just replace one with another lol.. lol im lost. tell me more about B2B, does it clean or mask?

Get a Mr. Clean Magic eraser, the +50% version. Scrub till your arm wants to fall off, switch hands and do the other side.

THEN, use Back to Black on it.

On the same topic of black surfaces, is there anything to remove scuff marks on the vinyl that's on the seats?

update.... SHAT!!!!!! i had NO batts for my digy cam.... im a pic takin mother fucker... but i absolutly had no bats or time to go and buy some (would take atleast 1.5hrs in bowling green on a saturday to buy anything) fak that... im really dissapointed that i didnt get pics... i can still get some of the finished work... but that doesnt help anything now..,, i FAILED....... anyway the method did work VERY well... 100% the magic eraser is the shit hands down... and the B2B... ehh i give it a 6/10 does what it sais.. but could be alot better., its very messy/stinky....i could have used the user mod in that one tho im sure... but all of the trim around the glass came out factory looking. even the hard trim on the lower parts of the side windows. i can still get u pics of finshed work... but again it doesnt help much. and fallenangel, although nice stab at thread hijack... i will say you have a point... removing scuffs on the seats bolsters or the back seats would be nice. i only have one scuff... but i would like it to be gone.

This is what works best on our cars trim work. It makes it look brand new when its done its just a total pain in the ass to do. Just make shure you dont use the eraser on the paint or B-pillers.
