Default Detailers,Solvents & Soap Detergent

What type of solvents, detailers, or detergents is used to remove the foam/tar substance that holds the spoiler down? I was thinking of hot water and detergent, but I figured that there has to be some sort of a solvent out there for this kind of task. If you're removing the spoiler for the 1st time you'll understand what I talking about: the substance is thick, dense, black and has the characteristic of tar & appears to act as a sponge. The detailer and windex hardly worked at all. Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default Huh?

A razor blade.... Well I guess try it since I tried numerous products such a Goo away just last nite. Today, I tried Bug &Tar spray from auotzone. Previous days I had mildly warm water and a bar of soap that I let soaked over nite...with no results. razor blade makes sense but with what remover product or homemade detergents. Like I already said before, on the how-to spoiler removal section; the Megu'r detailer and wax was of no use.

you should try wax and grease remover you should be able to get it at autozone. it should be by the paint and body supply section.
