there is no best. go to autopia.org and read away. both zaino and meguairs are over rated and cost to much.

Get a nice glaze (Danase Wet Glaze) and then your favorite carnauba wax. Can't beat that look!

wax as a lsp (last step product) is an easy choice as there all about the same. at that point after a full detail. its the compounds, glazes and sealants that separate a good brand line from a hyped up one. i will give zaino props for there wax its amazing. for two days then the sun makes it evaporate because its carnuba based. but its great for car shows.

yea just the wax isn't what is going to make the car look good and the paint last its the whole shabang. making sure you are using a good wash system to remove all contaminants then the compound you are using to get the rest of the contaminants off then what sealer/wax/ protectant pro⋅tect⋅ant
--a substance that provides protection, as against insects, frost, rust, etc.; protective agent.

I think you need to be more specific as there are tons of products out for each part of a detail. Go to autogeek.net and look at their selection, I like their site cause they always have deals. They even have a buy one get one free section and give aways. Autopia.org is also a good site and on this forum we have Adam's.

I like & use Meguiars because it's what has worked for me. Look around and find what works for you depending on what it is you're trying to acheive. What part of LA are you in?

wash with meguiars gold class
clay
wash again
use the mothers 3 step process
dry
add the dressing and bam! done, takes about 5 hrs depending how many times you have the use step 2 i usually add about 2 coats of step 2. then step 3 which is a wax so any good wax would do in its place if you already have one.
that the best I think you can do before buying stuff that is not usually at your local auto parts store.
