Soooo, decided to try this out:
(ignore it being open, I have a two year old

)
So, took the car through a good car wash, by hand, then got to work.
First thing I did was took WD40 to the underside of the side skirts, the fender wells, and anywhere that had any tar at all, then used hot water with a car formulated detergent to clean that up.
Clay bar'ring was interesting, my car being white you don't exactly
see blemishes, fly specks, etc, from any distance, but when you are right up on the car you see them pretty easily. I was a little skeptical at first but after I did the hood I noticed it did get some gunk off of the clearcoat.
Took me about two hours to complete the clay bar, top to bottom of the car. The clay bar itself wasn't all that dirty, either that or the dirt was all trapped deep inside. Even so I saved it for spot use if needed.
Then I set about waxing the car. Not quite done with that, got dark so I'll finish up in the morning. Hence no photos as of yet, but most have seen my car before regardless.
Final verdict? Again, interesting, seems to have smoothed out certain areas, but i've always taken good care of my car and therefore I really can't say there was anything that made me say "OH MY GOD WOW" about the whole process. Even so, I saw a lot of residue so I know it was working. One thing it did well was removed fly specks but I can get those off quicker with a little bit of WD-40 so that's basically a wash.
Not sure I'll use it often but maybe a once a year type thing. One thing is for sure, if I do keep this car forever, every few years the side skirts and front clip will need repainting lol
