Cleaning Tranny when out of car?

So Im doing a clutch swap so the tranny is out. I got some foam engine degreaser which has helped tons but its not perfect. Anything else I should be doing to clean the dirt from this thing?

use a wheel cleaner spray that is intended for non clear coat wheels....also, simple green and some scrub brushes work great. and believe it or not Dawn dish soap works wonders...an assortment of stiff plastic bristle brushes will help the cleaning as well
