you can use throttle body cleaner (carb cleaner) to clean it and a wideband and map clamp to keep it clean

Hey fastman,

Try using some sort of a degreaser on the effected areas!!! And also a really crappy towel. Adam's makes an All Purpose Cleaner that would work great!

Let me know if you have anymore questions, posts before and after Pics if you can with your process!!

Thanks,

Hey fastman,

Do you just want to clean the area that you can see, or are you looking to clean out the entire system?

Let me know!!!

Thanks,

Fastman,

As Justin and a few others have mentioned, try cleaning a majority of the junk out with a good All-Purpose Cleaner and some old towels. Once you have removed the heavy dirt, you can simply use some metal polish on the inside of the tip. If your tip is stainless steel, chrome, or even aluminumized, polishing it will help to remove any excess tarnish and it bring it back to life.

I do this process on my Dad's diesel pick-up every once in a while and it makes that soot filled tip look like NEW.

Good luck and please let us know if you have any additional questions!

-Dale
