Default suspension upgrade

I will be upgrading my turbo in the near futur. But, before I do , I'd like the car to handle BETTER. I wanna go fast... but I don't wan't to kill myself in the process!! I don't go to the drag strip often and I don't own slicks or DR's. I'll occasionally floor it at the light... but I'm more of a highway guy. Right now I'm stg 2 with ONLY mapar springs and urithane MM inserts as suspension upgrades. Should I go with a coil over and sways... or should I keep my springs and add sways and struts front & back. The car is a daily driver right now thanks.

Default seen it.

Not sure about the springs. If anything I would do the sways for sure. Don't know if it's worth swapping out spring for spring. There drop rate is not that much different. I really want the car to handle better before I drop more power in it. ( E1 turbo with exhaust mani). With that being said... should I go with a coil over??? and if yes, which one?? I would still be adding sways and struts into the mix.

The sways will help alot! I actually had this kit but had to go to coil overs due to a bad tire choice.... The springs that are included are progressive springs meaning the more they compress the more the rate goes up... your mopar ones have a consistent rate throughout....

This is an incredible kit and you have NO IDEA how much I miss it over my coil overs!

Read up some in this section. There's a lot of info concerning all of the realistic options out there. You need to set a price limit and that will let you know what the options are.

under $800 - just get upgraded struts
$800-1000 - find the best deal on the k-sport (someone rough ride with standard spring rates) or the basic BCs (look into different spring rates as well) or the Eibach coilovers from MP.
$1000-1300 - try to find the inverted BC or a deal on the Mopar stage 2. The Mopars will have a better ride and build quality.
$1300-1500 - Mopar stage 3. They will have the best off-the-shelf ride quality of anything listed so far.
$1500+ - look into KW var.3 coilovers with custom spring rates. The rates you choose will decide the ride quality, but they are very high quality pieces and will vastly improve your handling.

You can also get Koni inserts for the stock struts and a set of Ground Control coilover adapters/perches with whatever spring rates you want and then you will have a system which can easily be revalved or resprung to get the goal you want. Prices will vary depending on what you end up choosing for all of the pieces.

Yes, stiffer saybars do help a lot. The Hotchkis ones are definitely the overall popular choice for the SRT-4. If you just get swaybars to go with the lowering springs you have now, you do not need new struts. If you get coilovers, they are replacement struts so you don't have to worry about that.

Thanks for the info. I'll also do a search to see what mods most have done with similar power upgrades. Power is nothing if you can't control it.
