Default Painting Calipers

Has anyone repainted our stock Calipers? I am looking to repaint them but wondering if anyone has found a good paint that is closest to our stock caliber paint color. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

dupli-color ceramic, the brush on type is what i used on mine. Spot on match, alot more glossy and no fading after mulitple washings.

I did mine today with engine enamel...the same paint I used for my valve cover 2 years ago. They look amazing...can't believe I waited so long to repaint them.

has any one seen, or know a way to some how get SRT-4(like a logo but curved with the caliper) on there when re painting? I know the chap stick method but it seems like it will turn out like shit...

I would realy like a look close to the corvette calipers look if its possible...

eBay Motors: RED G2 BRAKE CALIPER PAINT EPOXY STYLE KIT FREE SHIP (item 360023267157 end time Feb-19-08 18:47:26 PST)

That's the stuff I used. My calipers were pink in color only after a year and a half. I used this stuff and they look amazing. This is the 2nd winter they've been through and still look brand new. If you end up using this, make sure you clean the hell out of the calipers and apply like 5 coats if you want the really glossy look (mine look identical to brembos, without the logo of course).

I didnt tape off nor remove the caliper. I went to an art store and bought a cheap like 5 dollar brush kit which had about 5 or 6 different sized brushes. The tiny ones were used in the close areas. I applied 2 coats of paint also.

Question NiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCe

NiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCE - I'm gonna hook THAT shit up!!!!

I always thought you had to remove it and aLL, that's why I didn't even consider doin' it!!!

I'm curious, though, that G2 kit, does it have the primer and everything in the kit? do you have to use paint stripper or anything??

I've painted several different cars brake calipers and have tried many different kinds of paint. The best stuff that I've found is made by a company called por-15.

Here's a link to the exact stuff that I use. I ordered the smallest size (pint), and it's only taken a about 1/4 of that can to do what I've done so far which included donig all four calipers and the hard pipes on the GT Cruiser.

HARDNOSE PAINT-POR-15 Inc.
