i gave up on cheapo flaring kit and got a Gold Plated Napa double Flaring Kit,special file and special pliars-I should be able to fix my broken thread brake line now. Line is now fixed, have yet to test it,but i did get a halve way decent flare, the cheapo flare might have leaked because its a single flare not a pro double flare which is the only way a brake line should be flared.

Reason: Update!
No I repair a stripped thread that goes into the ss line-I did have the threads cleaned out in the ss line-I am pretty sure its totally fixed the right way,but i have not ran brake fluid though it yet! You have to make a perfect double flare, single flare are not good enogh and can leak. Double flare are up to two times stronger than the line, single flares are less than 100% as strong as the line making them dangerous. So there you have it. SS lines are tough.

The line seems to be not leaking ,but i got air in the lines not quite sure how to get the air out. I hate to open up the lines just to get air out, i have speed bleeders, but they might not be able to get all the air out!

Another problem came up, the ss lines are hitting the tire-what should i use to keep this from happening? I could have no brakes if the tire hits the ss lines. I just use a old telephone wire to keep the lines away Does everyone fix their cars with telephone wire Maybe a big rubber band would work. i just can't understand why the ss line maker don't give you everything to hook up the ss lines with. So far i put rubber in top hats, chewing gum to patch leaky lines, i am wondering -is this what it takes to keep the cat running/ Any idea's?
