Default Major suspension dilemma (please helppp)!!!!

Ok so here is my story. I have a stock SRT4 (04)...well it was stock, about 3 months ago i installed some Tein S-Techs on stock shocks. The ride was brutal and i could not take it any more. After doing some research i decided to get a new set of Megan Racing coilovers, i heard with the dampening setting you could achieve a pretty comfortable ride with these. So i ended up going to my mechanic this morning and installing them along with some shorter end links. We installed everything beautifully and the end links were perfect, as they did not touch the coilover. I set the damper to 30/32 so almost to the softest level. So i decided to head out to the near by alignment shop, which is about a 10 min drive. We left the camber at 0 mind you, so i left the shop and driving to the alignment shop i already noticed the difference, it was a pretty smooth ride even over some bumps and small pot holes. I did the alignment, they had to play with the clives bolts and camper plates. so once that was done i headed home, and this is when i noticed something that REALLY annoyed me...the ride was AWFUL, i could feel every inch of the road, over bumps my dashboard made a lout sound, i was hitting those holes like i had no tires, or my tires were made of steel. It was so bouncy, and harsh, that it was actually WORSE than my springs on stock shocks! What gives guys? I did not know that alignment can affect ride comfort!! Any help would be greatly appreciated, anyone else out there with megans have similar issues? I just spend $1200 (with labor) and my ride is worse than before

Thanks!

I bet the shop increased the preload a lot with the coilovers.

Either that or maybe he should have done more research, the Megans have some of the highest spring rates out of any of the other street coilovers. I have a love hate relationship with mine, and come to grips that its going to be hell driving my car around Pittsburgh(pothole, road construction central). But when I toss the car into a turn and I smile the hate goes away.

What does that mean exactly? And how is preload increased? Do you mean the alignment shop increased it?

the rear is going to be bouncy with those coil overs, the spring rate is so high, there is nothing you can do.
