looking to upgrade the suspension (dont want coilovers!!!)
im looking into upgrading the handleing side a little since i have some go fast parts now. I am NOT!! a noob when it comes to suspension. i just want to hear everyones thoughts and opinions
I looking into running tokico illmanus struts (had them on a dsm and loved them) with Tein s tech springs, ive been looking at pics of the drops i wanna keep the stock look but lower. i hate the look of the eibach kit that makes the back tires look like they are in the trunk. i also plan on upgrading the sway bars too just not sure on what i want any input on thoes is greatly apreaceated.
anyone that has tried this set up or runs it now i would like to hear your thoughts. i dont care about ride quailty at all. the dsm rode ruff as it gets with gutted interior and i loved it. the srt will be auto x'ed a few times for fun ,but just looking for something that will give me a fun daily commute around corners and just not the strights.

bump!! what kind of sway bars could i get ive found eibich, progress, and hotchicks. are there any other brands i could look at and what is everyones thoughts on these brands??
I have the tein s techs on my car and love the look of them
they are a bit stiff but I dont mind
However I am stil on stock struts that have 70 thousand miles on them and 50 thousand of them are with the s techs so its probably about time I upgraded them
I assume itll smooth out the ride some right?

tokico struts, mopar stage one springs, enegry suspenion bushing kit. keep sways or eibach/ mopar sway bars. that will be good for daily drivin car. it wont be harsh at all.
Use koni's, they back up war,jap shock blow-sneaky won't replace bad shocks i hear. Koni's made in Holland been in busness like 40 yrs, I have energy bushings yoo-ride is real nice and firm on softest setting. Bad roads hate on lowered cars

I just replaced my stock struts on my 05 with Tokicos and I also used the Hotchkis TVS stage 1 kit (Springs and sways). The ride at first was not so great but I had the struts on 1 because the roads here suck.
So I re-adjusted them to 3 all around and what a difference! As soon as I rolled out of my drive way I could tell that the rebound and ride quality was much better already and I took a few medium radius turns and off ramps at around 45+ mph and it was night and day difference over stock. The ride is much harsher than stock but the drop looks killer and it's not teenage punkish - look at me i'm lower than an F1 car look. No wheel tuck, and the rear sits a little higher than other kits but still lower than stock. The sways I've not had a chance to really test but I can tell much less roll and almost zero rear end swagger on fast movements. I was going to go with the Koni inserts, which I've heard people like, but my shop was going to charge much more for the labor so I went with the Tokicos. I'm pleased but it was more $$ than I'd wanted to spend.

In need of a tune...
Stage 1 turbo Upgrade, Kinetic WGA tuned to 17psi spike 20psi, motor mount inserts, NGK iridium plugs, K&N CAI, DC STB front and back, Hotchkis TVS Stage 1, Tokico Illuminas, crappy DZ101 Dunlops waiting to be worn down and switched
thanks for everyones input. i want it to be a rougher ride cuz im going to be drag racing the car most then auto x just want a little adjustabilty in the rear, and still be able to take some fast corners with out the teriable body roll. i wanna keep that look of the rear sitting a little higher than the front too. thats why i was looking at the s tech springs.
