Got home from work today and smelled something around from driverside wheel. When I took the wheel off I saw the coilover was leaking and made a small puddle on the driveway. I have mopar stage 3 coilovers with about 7000 miles on them. It is leaking where the shaft comes out.
Anyone have any experience with this or how I go about getting this coilover fixed? Thanks
Call KW Suspensions (the manufacturer) at 1-888-713-5566. Talk to someone about support for Mopar Performance coilovers. They will send you a form to fill out and return along with a copy of your receipt and the coilovers. A couple of years ago when I had one of my Stage 2s leak, they rebuilt it, checked the other 3, and sent them back, all at no charge. I'm not sure, but probably the warranty applies only to the original purchaser.

Call KW and tell them about this. They will fix it.
How many of our country's problems could be solved – and solved quickly – if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?
tell KW to upgrade the protection boot! well now there completely ripped apart but when they were new mine always would go to the top of the strut and stay there leaving a small area open for dirt and stuff to get to the strut shaft ...not sure if there designed to do that or not... yaaaay cant wait untill mine need rebuilding!!!!!!!
you mean yours an'nt all ripped apart yet? im not the only one concerned about this either. its almost like KW dont care, the dust boots are so flimsy there bound to get trashed in no time. leaving your suspension open to dirt and nicks and crap all over the shaft and ultimatley blown shocks

Now I understand. Thanks for the 411
My car is not a daily driver. The car has more track miles on it than highway miles. And I just clicked 30,000 last weekend.
Also all my dust caps are stuck way up in the top of the C/O I was wondering if I some how was able to make the cover clamped to the bottom so it doesn't walk up the shaft.
After I had mine rebuilt, when I put them back together I fixed the dust boot problem.
I got a small can of Plasti Dip (Plasti Dip – Protective Rubber Coating Products – Plasti Dip International) and dipped about 1/2" of the ends of the boot "cups" in it twice each. Then when I put the boots back on the struts, I screwed each one down over the threads on the strut body. The Plasti Dip is thick enough and flexible enough that it is a nice fit. That keeps them from riding up and makes them actually work as dust boots.

Now that is a great idea I think I'm going to have to do this to mine also.

Fine time to tell me now Dave. Next time I have the car in for alignment, I'll take the m off and do this.. Great Idea.
