I retract my hypothesis. I'll keep an eye on this thread and if I think of anything else, I'll stop back by.

Random thought: Could my car being on lowering springs have anything to do with it?
(Doubt it since a lot of people are on lowering springs but I thought I would throw that out there)

The pictures look they were taken with weight off the front suspension. Prothanes do not have a pretty appearance to them when the weight of the car is off them and the arm is extended all the way down. Put wheel back on car, lower car to the ground, and post up another picture.

Ok will do... I retorqued them to spec last night but the bushings still do not look pretty. Just bulging in a different spot now

Ok here are the pics of the car with the bushings torqued and the wheels on and on the ground.
Moyeah - something went wrong. If you do remove those bushings (I know you will) sent the material back to Prothane and find out if there was a problem with the production batch. But we must determine what went wrong with your install. I"ll get photos of mine tomorrow when I have time. |

Guess I'll try and get ahold of Prothane or Modern Performance(where I bought them) Just can't imagine I did anything really wrong when putting these in.

Nope, yours look like mine did. I did the install differently both times with the same outcome. Pitch 'em in the garbage and get some real bushings!
I remember when some asshole tried to tell me I had frame damage. Man what a load of stupid f^*ks.

Just can't imagine I did anything really wrong when putting these in. While it constitutes a little extra work, at least give Prothane back one sample and a letter and disucss with Modern. Check PM. |
