Just installed hotchkis sways, recently installed mopar rear tension strut, and mopar front and rear strut tower bars. WOW! what a diffrent Beast. Strut tower bars made the car alot tighter but made the car have more body roll because the frame wasnt flexing as much (good thing). rear tension bars made the rear end alot stiffer and more responsive. The hotchkis sways bars took the cake. Car hardly rolls @ all anymore. Point the car where you want to go and mash the gas and the car spins and pulls you right through the corners

if you understeer in the middle of the turn, a smaller/softer front swaybar will help, at the expense of turn in response.

I've got the Progress bars. 27mm solid front and 24mm solid 3 way adjustable rear. On the softest setting in the rear the car trail brakes nicely. Light braking in the middle of a turn brings the rear around nicely, same with throttle lift. And on the stiffest setting it makes for oversteering madness that is an absolute blast (if you expect it). Might be a little too much for the street on the stiffest setting. They came with bushings and hardware (heim joints for the rear).

Last week I upgraded from the budget sways to the Hotchkis. The budget sways are good for the money, but there is NO comparison! The car feels twice as solid as before It now feels like the car pivots on the center of the car. I have yet to autox with them, but with my Falken 615's it feels like glue on the street.

For Auto-X, we're looking to get rid of a bit of understeer on my GF's 2003. From poking around a bit, it looks like the Hotchkis are the way to go. Beefy enough to significantly reduce understeer and adjustable. But not sure if the front is even needed. (Will somewhat negate the beefier rear)

Is there anyone who offers the rear Hotchkis only? Some of the other manufacturers offer rear, which would be the second pick (manufacturer-wise)? Sounds like 24mm will be a good Auto-X setup.

Does anyone know is the Progress is adjustable? Some pics indicate three holes in the ends, but not sure if it's their "stock photo" of a VW bar or something...

Thanks a bunch,
Tony

I'm glad you like them. I have them as well and I gotta say it's a huge difference. I didn't have the budget sways, so i guess the improvement difference was a bit more for me.

I'm not sure if the Progress are adjustable, but that I know of there were only 2 on the list that indicated they were for sure. (Go back to the 1st page). As far as selling just the rear...you'd have to poke around and ask some vendors.

Modern Performance has the rear progress bar in an adjustable and non-adjustable form.

EDIT:

Just ordered the adjustable Progress rear sway, and Modern Performance said it wasn't 24mm diameter, but was 22mm. So both the adjustable and non-adjustable rear sways are 22mm. (will measure when I get it to confirm)
