How do you remove the steering wheel

Ok so car is going to be getting a cage soon, i bought an NRG Flat bottom wheel and quick release so that when i step over the door bar there is no steering wheel in my way. So my question is:

How do you remove the steering wheel without accidentally popping the airbag?

Do i use same 2ohm resistor to get rid of airbag light as i would with the passanger side airbag?

where do you get the resistor for the airbag light
