do you know how to bleed the brakes? Just keep doing that until you get fresh, clear fluid then go to the next caliper. Every couple of cycles of cracking the bleeder check the master cylinder and top the fluid off.

never bled the brakes before, only changed the pads. how do you bleed our cars? (minus the aforementioned clear fluid since i've already read that now)

its always good to learn something new and perform the work yourself, but if you decide not to attempt the bleed on your own, a brake shop can do a complete brake fluid exchange for farely cheap.

use speed bleeders and bleeded the brakes, all the time like i do-that way the bleeders don't stick into the calipers and you all ways have clean fresh brake fluid.

i would suggest dont try to bleed brakes yourself. it seems you have to perform it first time. go to some service shop and ask for the brake fluid. they will do all by themselves. its not expensive.
brakes are always to be pondered

You can do it yourself, but try like hell to get an experienced hand to help you that first time, and when your done, make damn sure you test the system in a safe manner, dont load up the family and head out for the Tail of the Dragon.

Stow, I think you messed up. Always start with the one farthest away from the master cylinder, which, unless the car is a right hand drive, is the rear passenger side. Then the drivers side rear, then passenger side front, then drivers.

1. Passenger side rear

2. Drivers side rear

3. Passenger side front

4. Driver side front.

If you do the brakes by your self-speed bleeders will help you. You only need one person with them to bleed the brakes-get four Stainless steel ones if your rich or get the reg ones-they are very easy to use.one way bleeding is simple with no air getting in. Oh and don't forget to paint your calipers red

Glhs, remember where the brake lines run on a neon? They go down the passenger side so the drivers rear has more line than the passenger rear.

Didnt know that, when I did my pads, it was a simple swap, and the fluid was fine, so I didnt have to bleed them. So, the lines go from the MC to the passenger side, back to the axle, then across?
