Default Grinding noise when turning the steering wheel left?

This just started yesterday. I heard like a bolt or something hit the bottom of the car but didnt see anything come out the back. After driving 4 hours after that on the high way... When i turn the steering wheel even really really slightly to the left something starts to grind and makes a vibration sounding like metal is touching metal. When i let the car cool off later, i pulled out of the drive way and the left side sounded like it was squeaking. I checked the rotors and on the back side of the left rotor, the brake pad doesnt look like its touching because half of the rotor is covered in the normal glaze and the other half is rust.
What are your thoughts? Thanks

Well I pulled the brakes apart yesterday and let me tell you... They were in BAD shape... The right caliper slide froze up so that why it was pulling to the right. And the left wheel bearing is shot. The wheel rocks up and down and side to side pretty bad! So thats why it was grinding im sure.

Good thing you pulled it apart and checked man. I never mess around when brakes act weird. I check that right away. Its nice going fast but stopping is even better lol. Good luck with her

GEEZE! thats serious lol. Was that one of those "oh ill just turn the radio up louder to drown out the sound of the brakes" kind of deal lolll. Front brakes are the most important thing on the car. I changed my rear brakes and i actually shattered the piston on the passenger caliper because its a piece of shit. I hate rear brakes on these cars. The caliper mounting design is junk and a huge P.I.A. Post a pic of your front brakes i wana see how bad these things were lol
