Feeler thread for chassis bracing

Hello guys I am co owner of Truax Motorsports, and would like to get a feel for the interest in subframe connectors or chassis bracing. Heres a link to a review of our type of product. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=518814 I have an srt4 lined up to start the prototyping. Just trying to gauge the interest for these on the srt4s.

Thanks,
Sean

P-Werks currently offers a subframe brace for the SRT-4... if you can compete with price, and increase the quality of the subframe, you will have buyers.

Definatly go with a chassis brace.. I've worked my suspension and chassis already (Mopar Coilovers, 29mm Front 24mm Rear sway bars, Front Strut bar).. But the my car is still getting some descent body roll/flex through the turns... The harder I drive I can still notice what needs to be done and just makes it more obvious. (I may need to go for camber plates as well)

If you can come out with a strong underbody brace and market it well, then you are golden!
Go for it

if you can do it at a reasonable price i think you will get buyers. better get some good factual evidence that it works...the suspension guys here are pretty picky.

we have a local doing full chassis brace's identical to p-werks for $300 installed. so i know the material is cheap, and labor is somewhat intensive...but keep it reasonable.

Let's see some chassis braces similar to what Cusco offers for the WRX's, Hondas, Nissans, and EVO's. An assortment of smaller pieces that brace/reinforce possible problem areas seem more practical and lightweight compared to a massive 1-piece underbody brace.

as far as I have seen the p works chassis bracing is front to back and has no mid section cross bars. I use a higher gauge metal than what is available now. I will have a car here in a few days to have the first prototype done. Will keep you guys updated when i have updates.

I'm with you there! I'd rather address the problem areas & keep weight down. Smaller braces & seamwelding FTW!

hey all, i hobbled over to truax motorsports last night to drop off my car (they had a shop car waiting for me) and to check them out. this is a real deal place. i have to admit, i was alittle sceptical at first, but after stoping in there and talking to them, no worries here. im stoping by there again tonight to talk to sean, and see what all they worked out for my car.

after i get my car back, ill do a full write up about how the car feels compaired to before.

p.s. the st. cloud area had better keep an eye out for 2 sick supras prowling the streets from them in the near future
