Default brake pads help-long twisty euro road trip!

im in the army and stationed in germany. in the early fall i will be going on a road trip through the alps. i need help deciding what brake pad to with. i will be driving about 1800 miles in about 8 days. the main point of the trip is to hit up some mountain passes and some very long twisties.
i got the idea for the trip from the show "top gear". the eppisode where they go in search of the worlds best roads to drive on. anyway, in europe you just cant pull over and change your brakes. youll get ticketed and fined out the ass.
i was thinking of going with hp plus front and rear. im not worried about dust or noise. a couple of the passes ill be going through are about 13 miles long. im planning on making some "brake cooldown stops" cause the roads are dangerous and im not wanting to fly off a mountain.

thanks in advance for tips.

those hawks would be fine.
perhaps add some cooling ducts and do plenty of engine braking.
have fun and be safe!

Would be wise to change your brake fluid to a high temp fluid such as Motul or ATE....

I cancur(sp) with the fluid and the HP+ front HPS rear.....or give EBC Yellowstuff front pads a try. they are about the same cost as teh HP+'s, but will hold upto very high temps. If I remember right, they are rated for 250-1600 degrees F* and are designed to be used on light to mid wieght cars for roadcourse use. I use mine for roadcourse only because they squeal alot when cold

fluid is just as important as the pads when it comes to high temps

cold air does help, but the SRT-4 doesn't have ducts or anything to help direct air up to the rotors/pads/calipers. I use Valvoline SynPower brake fluid. It has the highest boiling point of anything I could get my hands on in the area. It has been pretty good through everything I've done. It could use a bleed now, but it's been a year since a complete flush.
