Default the best ride possible

yea i dont know anything bout shocks, struts, springs and such so right now when i got my car it had blue springs on the front and i dont know if those are stock or mopars or what because i have no idea what stock is or how stock should ride, all i know is right now any bump is awful in my car and its pissing me off. i am pretty sure the front is lowered from looking at other pics of srts and i dont mind the car being low but i just want a smooth ride, not a ride that hurts your ass and back when you hit a bump doing 50 mph. so any help is appreciated i just want this puppy to ride gentle as possible

stock are black.

The softest ride will be stock springs on Tokico Illumina struts set on level 1.

install is really easy. The springs can be bought for around $40 on the forums, struts for ~600 online at various places. handling will suffer on setting 1, but you can adjust to 4 or 5 and gain some back.

Do keep in mind this is an SRT and not a Lexus, this going to be a bit of stiffer ride. However the stock springs do ride very nice as for comfort but lack in the turns. The Mopar S1 springs which are mopar blue, are very nice and right 95% like stock for comfort and add some better handling and 1" lower ride. I had stock, Mopar S1 springs, and now Mopar S3 coilovers so I'm giving first hand info here. Maybe your struts are blown? I really can't see the mopar springs being the cause of your terrible ride.

any coilover on the market will still ride more harshly than stock struts/springs.

im guessing i have the mopar ones and it is lowered cause it does look it to me, but yea the ride is really rough and the back left of the car is making a loud noise anytime i hit ANY kind of bump and its like an exhaust rattle but a mechanic friend of mine told me its prolly a shock in the back or something of that nature so i might just take it to his shop where they wont BS me and maybe ill just have all the stocks put back on or see what the problem is with the mopars. thanks for suggestions though

yeah, I bet all of the struts are blown or in the process of blowing out. New ones are about $70 each, which is the most economical solution, or you can get the Illuminas that I mentioned which will stand up to the lowered ride height better and give you some adjustability. Your best bet would be to ride in a completely stock suspension car and see if that's the ride quality you're looking for.

yea the guy before me who owned it was a retard i swear...he like just ripped the heat shield in half cause he couldnt loosen the bolts so i have a half heat shield that looks like someone put a bomb up the tin mans ass and he put stupid lights in the car that do nothing at all and put crappy pipes on the intercooler but kept the intercooler stock...and now he probably destroyed the ride of the car
