Default alignment ?

has anyone run into a case where their toe was still off but there was no more adjustment room left on the tie-rod?

I got a rebuilt rack and I think they did not put the right inner tie-rod on it because it need about 1/2" or more thread to get the toe right

If your steering wheel is not straight then I'd say adjust your steer ahead but, if it is straight then they got the wrong/bad rack. Either way it is thier responsiblilty to correct this.

sadly the place I bought the rack from I think rebuilds them and uses standard neon tie-rod ends for the racks it is looking like. I bought 2 racks from them the first one turned out to be mislabled on there website and said that all they could do was give us our money back on it because we should have paid more attention or something even though they mislableed it. only reason went rebuilt is because do not have the money for the near 600bucks for a new rack. grrr this is becoming a pain. the guy that put it in says he can change a few things and it will give us all the adjustment we need so he doing that on monday and then we should be able to get proper alignment done and be over with it all
