Default acr and rear tension strut?

well i was going to upgrade my tension struts since im putting hotchkis sways on, jimmy from s&p told me that some acrs came stock with the upgraded versions due to lack of stock ones... how can i tell if i already have the upgraded ones. i dont want to buy them if i already have them. oh yeah fyi i have an 05 acr..

i looked under the car and the bushings on the tension strut bolted to the spindle were black... if that means anything

its the same part number. the part number is on the side of the tension strut on a tag.

all 04-05's have them. 03's don't

no, not all 04-05 cars have them. MANY people have replaced them on those year cars and said there was a noticable difference in bushing stiffness.

If yours are soft like a marshmallow, they are the soft ones.

i wouldnt say that.

my rear TS were considerably different from the stockers that i replaced.

i doubt prothane or ES would have just 1 of their bushing products on 1 part of the car and not the whole thing...if that makes sense.

did you check the tension strut itself for the # or the bushings? the bushings are def. different. the strut itself, isnt.
