Default Absolute best coilover set?

I have searched and searched and there doesn't seem to be a definite consensus, but the Stage 3 and Tein SS seem to be the front-runners. What is the difference between the two? Are they so similar that it doesn't really matter? I have heard many people recommending both and was wondering if one is better for certain situations than the other. Has anyone here tried both? Any owners of either set, please comment on your experience. I would like to solve this as I am thinking of getting a set soon. Thanks.

No one is going to know the best but usualy what ever people have on there cars is what they are going to say is the best.

This is what suspensions I have had.

95 sportcoupe,sprint & stock,sprint & kyb gr2,progress & kyb gr2,eibach & koni,koni with slip on eibach coilovers & perches cut off & revalved,Ipp 36way ajustable coilovers & done.

01 R/T,eibach & stock,Kw Variant1 coilovers & done.

03 SRT-4,eibach & stock,Kw variant3 specialy made for my SRT-4 & done.

02 WRX,prodrive & stock,Tein basic coilovers,Tein SSP's with EDFC & done.

05 SRT-4,mopar stage1 & stock,eibach rear springs & stock,Tein SS coilovers & done.

I will be buying the pillowball mounts & edfc as soon as Tein releases them for us.

Look at my headaches & please learn from me.

Coilovers are the way to go.

one of my buddies has some coil overs on his SRT and they're pretty smooth...I have the eibach sportlines and I can definately feel bumps in the road and sometimes cringe when I hit a pot hole or drive around the heavily redone roads here in Denver CO... had airbag suspension on '95 sport sedan but too much of a headache to maintain...

I was reading about the Tein SS coilovers and they have that really cool EDFC system. I was on Porsche's website reading about the Cayman S and it has a button that can adjust the damping force from street to track settings. I thought this was the coolest thing ever. Reading about it online sounds like I will be able to do the same thing. However, the EDFC isn't out for the Tein SS yet? Is that what you are saying? Is there anyway of finding out when it will come out? Thanks.

What exactly do the pillow ball mounts do? My mind is made up now because of that EDFC. That thing is the BOMB! Are you sure the EDFC works with the SS coilovers?

Vendor on the forums actually has 1 set of Tein SS Coilovers for sale from his group buy. I bought my set through his group buy, very smooth transaction, and a great guy to deal with.

Pillowball mounts give you more ajustment for camber either + or -.
& yes the edfc works with the ss coilovers as I had them on my wrx & will have them on my SRT-4 as soon as the pillowball mounts come out.

I'm not THAT into suspension that I care about camber. That's too much for me. The regular SS with the EDFC will work fine. Thank you all, joe r especially. You've been most helpful.

hate to ruin it for you guys, but the srt4 doesnt have enough hood clearance for the edfc, and this is coming straight from tein themselves. sorry

yes, tein told me that, hence why i said "straight from tein". unless they have changed the design, which i HIGHLY doubt, your out of luck.

my personal recomendation is to get ahold of a KW dealer and order up a v2 set of coilovers. similar design to the mopar v3's, but with a progressive spring and better valving. which will give you a better ride, and should be an improvement in street handling
