Default ABS Light Stays On, ABS Kicks In

About a week ago, I started my '05 SRT-4 at school and the ABS light stayed on. I let it run a few minutes, shut it off and when I restarted it, the light was off. I ran a few errands and it never came on during subsequent starts that day. Then the next day, the whole series of events repeated and the ABS light comes on if the car sits for more than a couple of hours. Then, 3 days later, the ABS actually kicked in during light braking to a light, and now occasionally it kicks in during light braking. I check my brake fluid (full) and I was suggested an underbody wash if a sensor was dirty and the problem remains. Then today, on top of the ABS light, my parking brake light remained on, even while cycling the parking brake a few times, then after a restart, it was off. Any suggestions before I go get raped by a dealer or mechanic? The only mods are front and rear sway bars, rear strut brace, a JMB Cold Air Intake and Enkei GF-1's (same size as stock).

try unplugging and cleaning the connectors going to the sensors or taking the sensors off and clean where they connect to calipers/hub assembly or if you have the access to a OBDII or OBDIII diagnostic reader you can find out which sensor is causing the problem if it is a sensor

yep, one of the sensors is bad. unfortunately you need to visit the dealer to find out which one. Once the ABS light is on then the system is disabled. You shouldn't have any more weird brake problems but you will be able to lock up the tires.
