From what I know California is going to be sunk by January 2009 and will no longer need it's own forum.

09 or 08? So they get a full year before it gets tanked?

Well I guess if they want to kill the whole NW section then yes I guess they can. Hell if they got rid of the WA section it would get rid of 50% of my problems. Cali has then own section and its not put in with a region. I don't want to get into this with you so if you have a problem with what I stated then you can PM me.

Ekool I am very interested in learning more about the infraction system.

From what I see Paid members and vendors also have the infraction system so Ekool seems to be very fair that even if you pay him it does not put you above the rules of the forums.

I also think maybe a group hug section.

Sorry, there is a huge issue some member have had with me lately and they have never bought any parts from me so I have no idea why it has happened. I may have jumped the gun on that so e-huggs with sorry's.

What this does is any request that this site makes, as in a request to get banner ads or anything else is from a different website/host kills it.

When you hit a page load from this site and Ekool wants you to see an ad from pagead2.googlesyndication.com you will have to wait till you get the responce from pagead2.googlesyndication.com. That is what it takes so long to load a page. It waits for the information or waits until a timeout to finish the page load. By adding 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com to you hosts file, any request for pagead2.googlesyndication.com is sent to the IP address 127.0.0.1. This IP is your home IP address on your PC ( Ping it and see your response time ) SO you will never see any ads pushed from pagead2.googlesyndication.com when this site pushed ads from google.

If you see that a page is waiting for an outside page load, just write the web address down and then in your hosts file add it, to it and your done

ptp and stowaway - did you guys disable java & javascript? if so, that might be the problem with your edit not working

if you disable java or javascript (i can't remember which one specifically) the smilies, chat and all of the tags (image, url, etc.) won't work

hope that helps

EDIT: tried edit again.... still working obviously

weird!

can you click on the smilies and they do nothing or can you not click on them at all?

another member in OT was having a problem posting smilies even if he typed them out .... for instance if he spelled out the readclose smiley the way it's supposed to be (: readclose w/o the space) it still wouldn't work
