Wrong. No matter what background color I choose, leaving the ability for users to be able to change the font color leaves the ability to match it. It doesnt matter if the background is black, red, blue or green. If you can change the font color, you can match it.

The site loads a lot faster now. One suggestion though. It seems as though the page refreshes itself a few times before it displays. It appears as though each time it gets a banner it happens. Using AJAX to get those ads would be a better solution, and should speed up loading even more.

if you have firefox, download adblocker ... then whatever ads do somehow come up you can just right click & click "adblock image" ... voila, no more ads

our local forum uses phpBB, the background color is a light silver but there's no font color available that exactly matches it.

can't you limit the font colors? i didn't think that it has the complete list of HEX HTML colors available? does it?

Fantastic, thanks. What ever you have done the site is now working like back in the days. Each page it only taking a second at max to load and I am not running on firefox right now. Ekool I know you and I have had our differences in the past but if this new way you are moving towards works you can expect me to be a paying vendor on many of your other sites. Thank you.

I dont experience what you are on my side. The ads are loaded via javascript in the same manner 99% of all internet ads are served. As has been our promise from day 1 when we first started accepting advertising, we never have shown pop-ups or pop-unders as I hate them as much as everyone else.

I am not seeing pup up/under either. All I am saying is that what seems to be causing slow rendering is the requests for the ads. It is probably the browser I am using which allows me to see the requests to each ad site. Not a big deal, but if you are looking to lower rendering time, that would be one.

wow!

what a huge difference it makes on my work computer!!! I cant use firefox bc we use IE for java on our presses here.....

Quick question??? Can vendors get a quicker post time then the 60 seconds. I can type around 80 WPM and sometimes the 60 seconds becomes a real pain. I am not even sure if this is possible but it sure would be nice so I don't have to post in my section in one window and then post on the open forums in another window. I would rather just have one window to work with. If that is possible that would be great.

Edit: I don't have the highlighted sections anymore show posts that are new or I have not posted in my section. Next the stickies are not showing up bold or highlighted anymore. Is that the setting on my end or is that something changed on the site?

Ekool, is the California section going to get a moderator? This has been brought up several times in the year and then just seems to fizzle out.
