What's to stop you from taking in thousands of membership fees and closing the site? Anyone remember OctaneWorld?

If I paid and then disputed my CC charge, what would you tell my CC company that you charged me 50 bucks for?

I want this question answered.

Well the changes look nice and getting rid of additional adds will be nice. As far as the members paying, I really don't care for it because the paying vendors hardly get any help from the admin as it is. Now if your a paying member it will be even more difficult to stop them from making comments or out right attacks on the good vendors. Other sites have paying members but the vendors can just about outright ban members that get out of hand in there section. If members are going to have to pay now then I would like to see a lot more admin on here putting the smack down on the trolls and problem makers. Just my .02.

Equal banning should be given out to scamming, lying, thieving vendors as well.
Wouldn't you agree?

Yes 100%, I have been called a lying vendor and I keep asking those people claiming that to come forward with there proof. Still nothing yet. I think it something that needs to be monitored and looked at. If someone calls me a lying vendor yet has no proof of such they should be banned for stirring the pot. I know that ekool will take vendor powers away from vendors when there is good reason to do so. The scamming and thieving vendor normally leave before any of the admin can do anything. It sucks but it kind of the nature of the beast. It comes down to protecting yourself as well. If you hear that its taking 6 months to get parts from one vendor then maybe you shouldn't spend your money with them no matter how good the deal is. My personal opinion is that if you have paying members it will be harder to "ban" them if they pay. It will be like a get out of jail card for those members that do nothing but create problems here on the site.

That would be a good idea but do they have paying vendors on those sites? If so I would be willing to bet that its viewed as a business versus helping others. The forums all over the internet are here for help but in the long run they are money makers for there designers, good for them. I wish I would have thought of it.

All I know is that I click on a thread, and all I see is the top "SRTForums" banner for a couple of minutes before the rest of the page loads....

I did the add elimination and it was quicker but now its back to 30 second downloads. Next why should I have to down load something if I want it working like it did before? It use to be very fast and just over the last few days it has been getting very slow. There were no problems before so why now do I have to do a down load to fix it?

That's what we're all wondering, John.

I assume that the load times are due to the admin team still working behind the scenes. IE not permanent.

I *hope*......
