with all the talk of poor moderation and areas that dont have active moderators, why not take the same approch our Evo counterparts use?

Ground rules for applying:
* You must have a minimum of 400 on-topic posts.
* You must be registered at least one year.
* Chosen moderators will receive a one year term which will be reviewed by senior staff for extension.
Additionally, being a moderator is not a popularity contest. We are looking for members who are able to present themselves professionally as a staff member. The review process for all applications will include post quality, helpfulness, neutrality to vendors, and time spent on forum. Members who are prone to instigating or who have been repeatedly reprimanded in the past need not apply.
All applications become the property of evolutionm.net. You will not be contacted unless you are being considered for a position.
Members apply for positions, current mods and admins decide if they should be promoted, and if they are then they're a moderator for a year.
there are plenty of people on here that could pick up the slack where the ones that have moved on left.
just an idea.
I also think that there should be some sort of discount promotion for the first x number of members, or for a month or whatever.

Sorry, but I see no good reason to support this board monetarily. You already rake in a huge amount from vendor fee's, plus all the adds and aside from the servers (which you've admitted in the past are hosted where you work) you provide no help or even moderation to the community.

I noticed a few weeks ago that I lost my photos privlages. I assume this was what he was gearing up for. If all I get for being primium member is access to post my photos, other admin functions, and block adds, no thank you. Maybe time to finaly remove my SRTOC plate frames, as they will be collectors items.
