the Jeep still needs a little better numbers...more hp/performance and better fuel ecomomy is always good, the Jeep interior is also blagh! Jeep needs a srt-8 vehicle with a third row seat, maybe even an srt-8 Durango would work. The quirky large metal front strut mounts hanging over the tire also look like crap on the grand cherokee. The grand needs a makover in general, no ones been buying this model, since they changed to this design.....

yeah...definately dont make it a luxery car...make it like something that people would want. the cherokee is supposed to be designed as an off road vehicle...bring back some ruggedness instead of trying to turn it into a lexus style car....my .02

OK, well I don't have an idea for the replacement suv, but as far as another car I would like to see-

1) A four cylinder for gas mileage. (Perhaps cheaper insurance for the younger crowd)
2) Boost on this four cylinder.
3) An awd platform would be nice, but I realize this may not be available.
4) Something that is not butt ugly. (A few newer Dodge cars come to mind.)

I think something like this would really appeal to the tuner crowd. The srt-4 was a total success in my opinion, why not have another sport compact (CAR) that would do the same?

Again, I realize you are after a replacement suv, I just thought I would add my two cents. I pretty much agree with snkmug on the suvs.

Default Slizzam It

If it's an SRT, it's going to fly. So a really high performance suspension system with awesome sways is what I would say is seriously important. Seriously, don't just offer a better one, just put the best suspension on and charge me for it in the price of the car. Cuz SUV's like to Plus an amazing suspension makes for an amazing test drive!

I'd have to say I disagree. Although Jeep is renowned for off-road apps, if it's an SRT, it's built for performance on the road, not for climbing rocks. Make it fast and low! Just my .02

I'll put my flame suit on now..SRT-6 Turbo AWD Caravan (or whatever model mini-van is available) As an older guy with a family; nothing beats a minivan for family activities, but who wants to be seen in one. Plus what could be more priceless than smoking a Mustang with your grocery getter.
Or, the Nitro would be a perfect replacement. The SEMA one was awsome! How about some Turbo love, V-6 Turbo>Hemi V8.

how about an SRT4 compass. sort of an awd caliber. i like the jeep front end on that particular body anyway. how about using the MB 7 speed in the new srt vehicles? that trans can be made awd in just about any vehicle. and that 6.4 hemi they were talking about a few months ago would be a welcome addition to the srt family. 525 whp 392 cid ftw.

idk man, jeeps are starting to lose their touch...with the more luxury things that are coming out for them, fewer and fewer people are going to stop goin for them...I just cant see a grand cherokee thats designed to zoom down the road without it being equipped with some potential off roading done to it. Like the RAM srt-10. I say make two models, one primarily for street, and one partially for street, and primarily designed to handle offroad, like the rubicon...or some sort of hybrid of the both. Jeeps need their ruggedness back!!

then Chrysler Corp. (don't know what to call them in this current state of the company) needs a companion to the SRT group.

SRT = STREET and Racing Technology

OTT = Offroad and Trail Technology?

With kids coming my way in teh next 5 years or so... an SRT minivan will get my future wife off my back about "I want to drive a cool car! I don't want to drive the minivan!". "Ok Honey, I'll drive the minivan. A 425HP 6.1L minivan "

I really think you woudl have a market for that. There are many husbands out there that don't like to argue. This would completely avoid the argument!

Okay, then they need to yank srt away from jeep...because honestly, jeeps are MEANT to be off road vehicles, not street and racing...thats my .02

And as for chrysler:

I think that the 07 seabring's exterior and interior would be suitable enough for a tuning style car...with a sport makeover, big wing on the back, and OEM body kit. basically what they did to the neon. anyone else agree?

http://www.chrysler.com/en/sebring/gallery/

pop an srt engine in that and watch it fly.

oh yeah, the minivan sounds nice for those with kids...it would take some major fabrication to get the soccer mom look away from it, but it could be done. put a big hood scoop on it.
